Playing Styles and Prediction

A challenger title in Sarasota means that Kokkinakis has entered the Roland Garros main draw as he returns to the world’s top 100. The Australian has been rewarded in recent weeks for going back to basics in his bid to regain confidence. Now Kokkinakis will aim for a successful few weeks and has made a good start by qualifying for Madrid.

Draper will aim to continue his confidence from the baseline as he looks to continue his efficient returning. Meanwhile Kokkinakis will aim to dominate with his forehand as the Australian aims to neutralize Draper’s firepower with depth and pace. This will be a tricky match for Draper but as long as he keeps his consistency on serve then the Brit should have too much quality for Kokkinakis, who may fancy his chances in these conditions.

Prediction: Draper in three sets.
