H2H: Emma Raducanu (WR 250) Aryna Sabalenka (WR2)
Tournament Previous Best R16 (2023) Final (2023)
1st Serve Return Points Won % 37.3 41.9
Return Points Won % 42.6 49.9
Break Point Conversion % 42.2 48.6
Break Points Saved % 53.2 50.0
Overall Service Points Won % 57.0 65.7

It is hardly surprising that Sabalenka leads Raducanu in almost all the stats. Raducanu just pips her in terms of saving break points.

Playing Styles & Prediction

Raducanu’s stats when it comes to saving break points might well come to her rescue, as she will be put under immense pressure when she takes on repeating Australian Open champion Sabalenka. That being said, Sabalenka had to come from a set behind to make it on to the third round.

She has had a fair bit of time off, and lost in her opener in Dubai, so there is potentially still some rust to shake off.

For Raducanu, it presents a good opportunity to measure herself against the best players. This time last year, she was stpped in the fourth round by world No. 1 Iga Swiatek. She is most definitely the underdog but this tournament has already given her first back-to-back wins this year.

Prediction: Sabalenka in straight sets.
