Alfie Hewett was the second seed in Georgia, USA. The Brit had a bye in the first round. The second round saw Hewett against American Casey Ratzlaff. The Brit dominated the first set from the off. Barely putting a foot wrong the seed broke easily to take the lead. The second set was more of the same as Hewett continued to dominate Ratzlaff. The Brit soon had the match in the bag in straight sets 6-2, 6-2.

In the quarter-final Hewett was against fifth seed Joachim Gerard. The Belgian was no match for the Brit who outclassed the fifth seed from the off. Hewett broke more or less at will as the fifth seed struggled to stay with the second seed. Hewett eased into the next round in straight sets 6-1, 6-1.

The semi-final saw Hewett against sixth seed Ruben Spaargaren. The Dutchman found the Brit far too good, as Hewett broke at will. The Brit dominated and never looked troubled against Spaargaren. The Dutchman just couldn’t do anything with the game of the Brit and Hewett eased into the final 6-1, 6-0.

In the final the second seed was against the top seed Tokito Oda. The Japanese stayed close to the Brit at the start, before Hewett secured the vital break of serve and moved ahead. The second set showed the Brit back at his best as he dominated Oda and lifted the title in straight sets 6-3, 6-2.
