Karatsev has had a very poor season and heads into this match with three wins from his last ten tournaments with one of those victories being a retirement. The Russian will look to fix the flaws in his game over the next few weeks ahead of next season, where he will hope for better results.
Norrie will look to be aggressive on his serve and use his defensive skills to neutralise the points and look for the short balls to attack. While Karatsev will look to create the angles and force the errors from the Brit’s racket and be as consistent as possible. If Norrie can find rhythm on his baseline shots and can produce a high first serve percentage then he should win this in straight sets but will be wary of the threat that Karatsev can possess on his day.
