PLOCK, POLAND – Dermot Bailey entered the ITF event and was the second seed. The Brit made it all the way to the final without dropping a set.

Dermot Bailey entered the ITF even in Poland and was the second seed. In the first round the Brit drew Swede Eric Lof. Bailey had no problems with the Swedish player, as the seed dominated both the sets. No matter what Lof tried he was unable to match Bailey. The second seed didn’t lose a single game in the match and moved into the next round 6-0, 6-0.
The second round saw Bailey against Polish player Jaroszlaw Zyla. The seed was still on top form. Zyla managed to hold serve once in each set, however the Brit was unstoppable. The Pole could not get anything on the serve of Bailey. The seed moved easily into the quarter-final 6-1, 6-1.
In the quarter-final the Brit was against eighth seed Anto Joskic. The Croatian, although seeded, struggled with the Brits game. Once again Bailey dominated the match, Joskic could not get a game on the board. The second seed progressed into the semi-final in straight sets 6-0, 6-0.
The semi-final saw Bailey against third seed Joseph Riegler. The Austrian proved to be a tough opponent. The second seed could not get ahead in the first set, as Riegler stayed with Bailey. The Austrian forced a tiebreak, which the Brit edged through to take the lead. In the second set the Brit managed to break serve and hold on to book a spot in the final 7-6(5), 6-3.
In the final Bailey was against sixth seed Guilhem Laget. The Frenchman managed to break the Brit serve in the first set. Bailey was unable to break back. The second set was much the same, with Bailey trying hard to get back into the match. Unfortunately it was Laget that took the title ending the Brits run 6-3, 6-3.
Ben Bartram was defeated by Kamil Fabisiak in the second round 6-0, 6-1.
Doubles
In the doubles Bailey and Bartram teamed up and were the fourth seeds. Their first round match saw the Brits face Andrzej Stróżyński & Jaroszlaw Zyla. The Brits dominated the first set, as the Polish team struggled to even hold serve. The Brits were soon in the lead. The second set saw the Brits break serve just once, but that was enough to move them into the quarter-final 6-0, 6-3.
The quarter-final saw Bailey & Bartram against Adam Kinowski & Pawel Mietrkeiewicz. The Brits dominated both sets. The first set was the same as the previous match with the same scoreline. The second set was still dominated by the Brits as the Polish team struggled with the game. However, this time Kinowski & Mietrkeiewicz only got one game. Bailey & Bartram moved into the semi-final 6-0, 6-1.
In the semi-final the Brits were up against the top seeds Kamil Fabisiak & Piotr Jaroszewski. The fourth seeds managed to break the serve of the top seeds and took the lead. Fabisiak & Jaroszewski re-grouped in the second set and broke the Brits serve to level up the match. The ensuing match tiebreak was very close, unfortunately it was the Polish pair that edged ahead to win 4-6, 6-3, 10-6.
