Katie Boulter will look to put a comparatively disappointing end to her grass court season with a chance to face Maria Sakkari once more in the first round.

Playing Styles & Prediction

Both Boulter and Sakkari have built their games on an aggressive baseline style ah have solid ground-strokes although you could argue that Sakkari possibly edges Boulter in terms of her agility around the court. Both have effective serves, and Boulter has worked hard on patience and placement.

Boulter has been on the up while former world No. 3 Sakkari has become close to falling out of the Top 100 altogether. Boulter last beat Sakkari at a tour level in Tianjin in 2018, and the following year Sakkari repaid the favour with a win in the Hopman Cup.

Neither have played since their second round exits at Wimbledon so will be perhaps a little ring-rusty. It should be winnable for Boulter, but she might find herself being taken the distance.

Prediction: Boulter in three sets.
