Playing Styles & Prediction

Hopefully the jet lag will have receded for the Brit, as she prepares to face a home crowd favourite. Next up is the free-swinging Peyton Stearns who is another product of the college scheme in the US, and the 2022 NCAA women’s singles champion.

She has a booming forehand and this year seemed to come alive on the clay, but slightly less so in the spring hard court season.

Raducanu is still trying to manage her fitness and her workload, opting not to have another stint on clay before the US autumn hard court swing, and did well to come through a tough opener. She will face an equally tough challenge again.

She has a little more experience to call in but will be fighting the crowd too.

Prediction: Raducanu in three sets.
