SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA ā€“ Emma Raducanu will aim to bounce back from her third round thrashing at the US Open when she takes on Jaqueline Cristian in Seoul.

Raducanuā€™s efficiency on both break points converted and break points saved has been clinical and the Brit will hope that continues as we head towards the end of the season.

 

 

Playing styles and prediction

Cristian has had some consistent results this season with some deep runs on clay ensuring she is on the verge of a place in the worldā€™s top 40. Now the Romanian will look to make that next step as she has the motivation of trying to be seeded for next yearā€™s Australian Open.

Raducanu will aim to take the return early as she will dictate play on the forehand side, pinning Cristian behind the baseline. Meanwhile, Cristian will look to use variety to force errors from Raducanu and will use angles to test the Britā€™s physical stamina. This should be a tough test for Raducanu but one the Brit is expected to come through given her recent form as well as consistent performances in recent months.

Prediction: Raducanu in straight sets.
