NEW YORK, USA – Emma Raducanu and Cameron Norrie had strong US Open campaigns but how did the other Brits fare over the rest of the US hard court season as the Grand Slam season comes to a close?

There was some positive performances over the US hard court season with Emma Raducanu being the most consistent player over the swing. The British number one tested the very best in the world and showed significant performances on her way to the third round at the US Open. Also reaching the third round was Cameron Norrie who battled his way through the first two rounds and once again saved his best tennis for Grand Slams. The rest of the swing was fairly underwhelming from a British perspective as it’s now time to assess how the Brits fare as the Grand Slam season is now over and preparations begin towards 2026.
Men’s Singles
Jack Draper [5]
It was a tough task for Jack Draper as he managed to recover in time from an arm injury for the US Open. However, it ended painfully for the Brit as he withdrew from the tournament and will now miss the rest of the season with there being a race against time to be fit for the 2026 season.

Jacob Fearnley
Jacob Fearnley ended his five match losing streak on the ATP tour at the US Open but fell to another top player. The Brit will need to work on his second serve and limiting those double faults if he wants to have any chance of going into the second week of Grand Slams next season.

Cameron Norrie
After a poor build-up to the US Open, Norrie put in a positive tournament in New York which ended with a resilient display in a four set defeat to Novak Djokovic. The British number two will now hope to continue his strong Grand Slam displays next season as he aims for more consistency on the main tour.

Billy Harris
It was a decent US hard court swing for Billy Harris who tested himself against eventual US Open semi-finalist Felix Auger-Aliassime. Now Harris targets a return to the world’s top 100 ahead of the 2026 season having struggled for consistency this year.

Jan Choinski
Jan Choinski reverted back to clay court challengers in the build-up to the US Open. The risk didn’t pay off as he has now fallen down the rankings after failing to defend his points from last year.

Jay Clarke
Jay Clarke took some time off after Wimbledon and came into the US Open underprepared. However, there is no shame in losing to a top 100 player as Clarke looks to boost his ranking ahead of the Australian Open.

Oliver Crawford
It’s back to the drawing board for Oliver Crawford as the Brit lost in second round qualifying at the US Open. Now Crawford will look to add more variety to his game in a bid to return to the world’s top 150.

Dan Evans
After a good tournament in Washington, Dan Evans fell into a tough draw at US Open qualifying. Now Evans will hope to gain a host of ranking points over the next few months as he continues his rise up the rankings.

George Loffhagen
George Loffhagen couldn’t capitalize on the momentum he created from winning the Segovia Challenger as he went out in the opening round of qualifying in New York. Now Loffhagen will be hoping to get into qualifying for the Australian Open by continuing his development.

Johannus Monday will need to improve his returning if he wants to get consistent results on the ATP tour after a defeat at US Open qualifying.

Jack Pinnington Jones
After a fantastic Wimbledon, Jack Pinnington Jones suffered a heartbreaking opening round qualifying loss at the US Open. Now having failed to convert his three match points, Pinnington Jones will look to be more clinical moving forwards as he gets set for the rest of the season.

Katie Boulter
It was a rough US hard court swing for Katie Boulter who lost five of her six matches in American. Clearly lacking in confidence and momentum, Boulter will need to player lower ranked events in order to build her positivity as this is a big next few months for the Brit with her ranking now outside the world’s top 50.

Sonay Kartal
It was a tough US hard court swing for Sonay Kartal who lost all three of her matches. Now the Brit will hope to play consistent tennis as she will look to end her solid season on a positive note.

Emma Raducanu
It was a very positive part of the season for Raducanu after reaching the semi-finals in Washington as well as testing Aryna Sabalenka in Cincinnati. However, Raducanu will be disappointed with the way her US Open campaign ended as she targets deep Grand Slam runs next season.

Francesca Jones
It was a good effort from Francesca Jones to qualify for the US Open with minimum practice on the hard courts. However, Jones would have liked a better performance in the main draw and will look to put herself in a better position to face world class opposition heading into the 2026 season.
