It was a dream start for the self-styled “Team Robmond” as they broke the Italian No. 1 seeds in the second game, and held both their own serves.
The teams traded breaks for just a couple of games and with the world no. 1 team yet to hold serve, the UK/UK pairing took the first set 6-1.
Another early break of the Errani/Vinci service game put Raymond/Robson ahead again at the start of the second set.
In almost a mirror of the first set another break of the Italian pair put Raymond/Robson in the position of serving for the match, nailed by Raymond.
Raymond finished it with a backhand volley. They go out into the centre of the court for their practised celebration. Final on Sunday.
