Hao-Ching Chan/Janette Husarova def Marina Erakovic/Heather Watson 4-6 6-3 10-5
The British/New Zealand combination of Heather Watson and Marina Erakovic bowed out in second round of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells.
Despite trading breaks throughout first set, Watson and Erakovic came out on top to take it 6-4.
A promising early break in the second set looked good for the pair, but two successive breaks of their serve put them into a match tie-break.
Mini-breaks were traded back and forth but a double fault handed the next two points on serve to Chan/Husarova, who closed out the set decisively, dumping the Commonwealth pairing out on Commonwealth Day.
Watson is on the entry list for Sony Open (Miami) along with Laura Robson, both of whom will be hoping to have a much more successful run to maintain their places in theTop 50.
