Will it be third time lucky for Karolina Pliskova when the No. 8 seed takes on British wildcard Katie Boulter? After beating the Brit in their first meeting, in their two meetings on grass this season, Boulter’s aggressive game has risen a couple of levels and delivered two solid wins over the Czech.
Pliskova is arguably still finding her feet after a freak injury at the gym side-lined her for the first couple of months of the season, and neither have taken to a court in the interim, so we can rightly expect a little rust from both players.
Boulter has a lot more belief and has made the most of her chances – and this is another free hit essentially.
