Playing styles and prediction

Sramkova has had some decent results this season which has included qualifying for a couple of Grand Slams and WTA 1000 events. The Slovakian has beaten the likes of Clara Burel and Sara Sorribes Tormo on her way to the final and knows this match is a big opportunity for her to boost her ranking.

Kartal will look to continue her aggression on return while getting as many first serves into play as possible. Meanwhile Sramkova will need to be consistent on the baseline and will look to be patient in order to open up the space on the court. Sramkova’s experience could be crucial here but if Kartal can settle the nerves early on then this match is more than winnable.

Prediction: Kartal in three sets.
