H2H: Emma Raducanu (WR 60) Amanda Anisimova (WR 17)
Tournament Previous Best R2 (2022) R3 (2021)
1st Serve Return Points Won % 38.0 36.5
Return Points Won % 45.0 44.4
Break Point Conversion % 50.0 44.9
Break Points Saved % 61.5 58.3
Overall Service Points Won % 56.5 57.7

Raducanu might not have the consistency so far this year, but she edges Anisimova on most stats expect for overall service points won. Anisimova had her title run in Doha but until she came to Miami, she had struggled a little to get back on par.

Playing Styles & Prediction

Both young players play a solid baseline game and can boast potent backhands down the line, and Anisimova has proved that she has the strength and speed to not only smack the ball with depth and power, but to cover the court well with sure footwork.

Raducanu is perhaps a little more emotionally steady than Anisimova, who tends to let her emotions get the better of her. They met in the second round of the Australian Open where Raducanu came through in straight sets, albeit a tight second one – but she will fancy her chances of scalping another seed.

Prediction: Raducanu in three sets.
