It was a great start of the year for Yastremska coming through qualifying to reach the semi-final of the Australian Open, since then she has struggled for back-to-back wins, and will want to break that duck.

Playing Styles & Prediction

It is always a positive for Raducanu on the comeback trail when she has an easier than expected result, but her serving has yet to find its groove as she often struggled with her first serves and chucked in eight double faults.

Her run to the fourth round las year was probably the only highlight in an injury strewn, and ultimately shortened year.

Yastremska started the year so well but seems to have stalled and benefitted from a bye this year but has never been past the second round here. Both players are searching for back-to-back wins, and they are evenly matched in the stats.

When you consider the start to the season Yastremska had compared to Raducanu, still searching for consistency to go deep in tournaments, you would mark the Ukrainian’s card to be the favourite to come through this.

But never count out Raducanu, who does have the ability to figure things out on the court, and for now seems to be stable with Nick Cavaday in her coaching team… for now.

Prediction: Raducanu in three sets.
