Tennis | WTA Indian Wells 2022 | Quick turnaround for Dart as she qualifies to face Konjuh in the first round
Dart has notched up more court time on hard courts, not to mention getting to grips with the sometimes more gritty Indian Wells surface, and actually matches up quite favourable to Konjuh leading her in everything except when it comes to staving off break points on her serve.
Both Dart and Konjuh play fast paced, aggressive tennis, so perhaps we ought to pray for the covers of the little, tiny yellow fluffies for this match. Dart will find Konjuh trying to force the pace of rallies, but the Croatian can sometimes struggle against similar styled players.
Dart will want to pick off winners with her signature backhand down the line and moves well – hence having the potential to confound Konjuh. Dart’s second serve will leave her vulnerable, but with some momentum behind her – she should be able to push Konjuh all the way.
