H2H: Emma Raducanu (WR 168) Ekaterina Alexandrova (WR 22)
Tournament Previous Best R4 (2021)  R4 (2023)
1st Serve Return Points Won % 37.7 35.4

Break Point Conversion % 40.7 44.1
Break Points Saved % 59.5 58.5
Overall Service Points Won % 57.4 57.6

Raducanu has been more consistent on serve this season but will need to be wary of Alexandrova’s efficiency on break points heading into this match.

Playing styles and prediction

Alexandrova’s form has been inconsistent this season as she produces weeks where she can win three matches in a tournament but has also shown she can lose to anyone on any given day. However the world number 22 has the serve and shot selection to become an effective player on grass as shown last year when she reached the second week at Wimbledon.

Raducanu will need to be consistent on serve and keep her first serve percentage up as she will look to avoid the service jitters she suffered at Eastbourne. Meanwhile Alexandrova will use power and depth to continue her efficiency on return as she aims to force uncharacteristic errors from Raducanu. This will be a tough match for Raducanu and the Brit will need to have a really good serving day in order to win this match. Recent form suggests the former US Open champion can grind out a three set victory but this match could be a rollercoaster contest.

Prediction: Raducanu in three sets.
