Machac has had some consistent results this season especially on clay as he is on the verge of breaking into the world’s top 100. Although grass isn’t Machac’s best surface, the Czech Republican has some powerful shots in his game to threaten the Brit as he will look to play with freedom and aggression.

Norrie will look to minimalize the unforced errors as he will aim to maintain a consistently high level which is something the Brit has struggled with this season. Meanwhile Machac will take the match to Norrie on serve as he looks to construct an aggressive game plan to not allow Norrie to settle. After an early blip in form, Norrie should go through the gears and seal victory in his opening round.

Prediction: Norrie in four sets.
