It has been a great grass court for Katie Boulter, whose highlight was reaching the quarter-final of Birmingham and she comes in with some solid wins against some glass grass court opponents.

Clara Burel reached the second round of Wimbledon on just her first career grass court tournament but has not stepped foot on any of the green stuff, preferring to play on the clay straight after Wimbledon.

Boulter undoubtedly has the form coming in to this and should progress.

Prediction: Boulter in straight sets.

First on Court 18, at 11am BST, Monday BBC Sport

Jodie Burrage has also had a fantastic run into Wimbledon, bouncing up to a career high in the process, but she will face a seasoned campaigner in Lesia Tsurenko. The Ukrainian hit her stride in Eastbourne, but an elbow injury saw her bow out of her quarter-final.

Burrage reached ITF semi-finals and finals in her run of 10 wins from 14 matches on the grass. This is a tough one for Burrage as Tsurenko has reached the third round here back in 2017, but a home crowd will help.

Prediction: Burrage in three sets.

Also benefiting from wildcards into the lead-up events, Lily Miyazaki has a very tough opener against Caroline Garcia – whose handiness on the grass has taken her to the title  in Bad Homburg. Garcia now holds three grass court titles to her name, including winning in Nottingham this year, and will clearly be the favourite.

But the experience of playing a main draw match at Wimbledon with the home crowd behind her will be great for the Brit.

Prediction: Garcia in straight sets.

While the Brits have been playing all over the UK, Katie Swan started with a qualifying loss in Birmingham and then picked up two wins in Bad Homburg – including a main draw win over Sloane Stephens.

Marta Kostyuk emotions have really been through the ringer. And she has just picked up three matches on the grass, but with a home crowd rooting for the local girl, it might be enough for Swan to give her a fight, but experience might get Kostyuk over the line.

Prediction: Kostyuk in three sets.

Sonay Kartal has been able to get a lot more grass court time than Danka Kovinic, and has made some impressive strides to get into the British tennis consciousness this year, and this might just prove to be her breakthrough year.

While Kovinic has a lot more tour experience behind her, one match om the grass is not the most ideal preparation, and Kartal would do well to start getting the more casual members of the British crowds to take notice of her.

Prediction: Kartal in three sets.
