Who are the Wimbledon defending champions?
Novak Djokovic will be looking for a seventh Wimbledon time and his fourth in a row in what is definitely becoming as much his wheelhouse as the blue courts of Melbourne. A title hear helps put him back within reach of Rafael Nadal in terms of total Slam titles won, but with Nadal also in the mix and holding the two first Slams of the year, the Spaniard could be hunting for a career Slam this year.
Ashleigh Barty won Wimbledon and went out on a high after winning the Australian Open earlier this year, surprising everyone with her retirement. With Iga Swiatek having taken over the mantle of the No. 1 comfortably, she should also be viewed as the next heiress apparent to lifting the famous Venus Rosewater Dish on the final Saturday.
