ANTALYA, TURKEY – Lucy Shuker entered the Kamal Sahin Cup and was the third seed. The Brit made the semi-final and lost to the eventual winner.

Lucy Shuker entered the Uniqlo event in Turkey and was the third seed. As a result, the Brit received a bye in the first round. The second round saw the Brit against Jinte Bos. The Dutch player stayed with the seed in the first set and it looked to be heading to a tiebreak. However, Bos broke right at the end of the set and took the lead. The second set saw Shuker re-group and go toe to toe with Bos. The Brit secured the break right at the end of the set to level the match. The final set saw Shuker dominate and take the match 5-7, 7-5, 6-1.
The quarter-final saw Shuker against sixth seed Katharina Kruger. The Brit broke early in the first set and held on to take the lead. The second set saw Kruger re-group and fight back, dominating Shuker to level up. The final set, though, was all one way traffic. Shuker dominated from the off and didn’t drop a game to take a spot in the next round 6-3, 2-6, 6-0.
In the semi-final Shuker was against top seed Angelica Bernal. The Columbian dominated the first set, as the Brit struggled to stay with her. The second set was much closer and saw the third seed fight and force a tiebreak with Bernal. In the breaker the Columbian eased through into the final 6-1, 7-6(3).

Andy Lapthorne was defeated by Ahmet Kaplan in the semi-final 6-4, 6-4.
