Lucy Shuker entered the event in Italy and teamed up with Aniek Van Koot for the doubles. The Brit/Dutch pair were the top seeds. As a result they received a bye into the semi-final. In the semi-final Shuker & Van Koot were against Emmanuelle Morch & Mariska Venter. The top seeds managed to break serve in the first set and took the lead. The second set saw the Brit/Dutch pair dominate and ease through into the final 6-4, 6-1.

The final saw the top seeds against second seeds Jinte Bos & Lizzy De Greef. The Dutch pair were no match for Shuker & Van Koot. The top seeds dominated from the outset and had very little trouble with the Dutch pairing. The first set saw the top seeds only drop one game. The second set they dropped two games and lifted the title in straight sets 6-1, 6-2.

In the singles Shuker was fourth seed. The first round saw the Brit against Angela Grosswiler. The Brit dominated the match from the off. Shuker eased through both sets without dropping a game. Grosswiler was unable to do anything about the Brit and Shuker had the match 6-0, 6-0.

In the quarter-final Shuker was against Katharina Kruger. The German stayed close to the Brit in the first set. Eventually, Shuker managed to break the German serve and took the lead. The second set was much easier for Shuker. The fourth seed dominated and moved into the next round in straight sets 6-4, 6-2.

The semi-final saw the Brit against top seed and doubles partner Van Koot. The Dutch woman dominated the first set as Shuker struggled to stay with her. The second set, though, was much closer. The Brit stayed with the top seed and forced a tiebreak. In the breaker it was Van Koot who edged through and took the match in straight sets 6-2, 7-6(5).
