Alfie Hewitt was the top seed in the singles at the ABN AMRO Open and the second seed in the doubles. As top seed in the singles, Hewitt received a bye in the first round. In the quarter-final Hewitt was against his doubles partner Gordon Reid. The top seed dominated the first set, as Reid was unable to hold serve. The second set was closer, as Reid started to find his game. Eventually, Hewitt secured the break of serve required and moved into the next round 6-0, 6-3.

In the semi-final the Brit was against Ruben Spaargaren. The Dutchman was totally outclassed by the top seed from the outset. Hewitt dominated from the off, breaking Spaargaren at will. The Brit eased through the match in straight sets, losing only one game. Hewitt booked a spot in the final 6-1, 6-0.

The final saw Hewitt against unseeded Spaniard Martin De la Puente. The top seed once again dominated the first set, as the Spaniard struggled and was unable to hold serve. However, in the second set De la Puente re-grouped and played much better. The Spaniard stayed with the top seed and it looked like a tiebreak was on the cards. Eventually, Hewitt broke to lift the singles crown 6-0, 7-5.

As second seeds Hewitt & Reid had a bye in the first round, so did not play until the semi-final, when they were against Ben Bartram & Joachim Gerard. The Brit/Belgian stayed with the Brits at the start of the first set. Eventually, Hewitt & Reid broke through to take the lead. The seeds dominated the second set, as Bartram & Gerard were unable to stay with the pace. Hewitt & Reid moved into the final in straight sets 6-3, 6-1.

In the final the Brits were against the top seeds De la Puente & Gustavo Fernandez. The top seeds stayed close to the brits in the first set, and it looked like a tiebreak would be on the cards. However, the second seeds managed to break serve right at the end of the set to take the lead. The second set again saw both pairs staying close, before the Brits once again broke serve and took the title 7-5, 6-4.
