BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANNA, USA – Alfie Hewett & Gordon Reid claimed the title in the Cajun Classic. The Brits didn’t drop a set all week.

Alfie Hewett & Gordon Reid entered the Cajun Classic and had a bye in the first round. In the quarter-final the Brits were against Alexander Cataldo & Brayan Tapia. The Chileans were no match for Hewett & Reid who dominated from the outset. The first set saw the Brits break and will and take the first set. The second set was more of the same, although Cataldo & Tapia managed to hold serve once. The Brits moved into the next round 6-0, 6-1.
The semi-final saw the Brits against Joachim Gerard & Ruben Spaargaren. The Belgian/Dutch pairing held the Brits in the first set. Gerard & Spaargaren forced a tiebreak which Hewett & Reid edged through to take the lead. The second set was a little easier for the Brits as they broke serve and took the match 7-6(4), 6-3.
In the final the Brits were against Martin De La Puente & Gustavo Fernandez. Hewett & Reid had to fight for the set as the Spaniard/Argentine pair forced a tiebreak. Once in the breaker, though, the Brits dominated and eased through to take the lead. The second set saw the Brits dominate De La Puente & Fernandez and claim the title in straight sets 7-6(1), 6-2.

Ben Bartram was defeated by Takashi Sanada in the second round 6-4, 6-1.
Alfie Hewett was defeated by Ruben Spaargaren in the quarter-final 4-6, 7-5, 7-6(6).
Gordon Reid was defeated by Tokito Oda in the semi-final 6-3, 6-3.
Cornelia Oosthuizen was defeated by Aniek Van Koot in the second round 6-1, 6-0.
Lucy Shuker was defeated by Shelby Baron in the second round 7-6(8), 6-3.
Cornelia Oosthuizen with Nalani Buob were defeated by Macarena Cabrillana & Kgothatso Montjane in the quarter-final 6-4, 6-1.
Lucy Shuker with Dana Mathewson were defeated by Diede De Groot & Aniek Van Koot in the semi-final 6-2, 6-2.
Gregory Slade was defeated by Robert Shaw in the second round 6-1, 6-1.
Andy Lapthorne was defeated by David Wagner in the quarter-final 6-2, 1-0 (RET).
Gregory Slade with Elay Chayot were defeated by Jose Arriaga & Andrew Bogdanov in the first round 0-0 (RET).
Andy Lapthorne with David Wagner were defeated by Heath Davidson & Robert Shaw in the semi-final 6-1, 6-4.
