Alfie Hewett was the top seed in Germany in both singles and doubles. In the singles his first match was against Frenchman Nicolas Charrier. The Brit dominated the first set, as Charrier struggled to stay with the top seed. The second set was a little closer, as the Frenchman found his range. However, the top seed secured the break of serve and moved into the next round 6-1, 6-3.

The semi-final saw Hewett against Joachim Gerard. The Belgian started well, staying with the top seed. Hewitt, though was not faltering and broke serve early to take the lead. The second set saw Hewett dominate and barely put a foot wrong, as Gerard could not stay with the pace. Hewett moved into the next round in straight sets 6-3, 6-1.

In the final the top seed was against second seed Gustavo Fernandez. The Argentine stayed with the Brit in the first set and neither player could get the vital break of serve. In the ensuing tiebreak it was Hewett that eased through, dominating the play to take the lead. The second set saw Fernandez stay close at the start, but then the top seed stepped things up and broke serve to lift the singles title 7-6(2), 6-3.
