S VERSICHERUNG, AUSTRIA – Andrew Penney & Dahnon Ward claimed the doubles title in Austria. The Brits were fourth seeds and took out the top two seeds en route.

Andrew Penney & Dahnon Ward teamed up for the doubles at the ITF Wheelchair event in Austria. The Brits were the fourth seeds, as a result had a bye in the first round. Their quarter-final match saw them against Martin Hoerz-Weber & Oskar Mayer. The Austrian pair were no match for the Brits who dominated from the start. Penney & Ward took the first set without losing a game. The second set, although the Austrians managed to hold serve a couple of times, still went the way of the fourth seeds. Moving into the semi-final in straight sets 6-0, 6-2.
In the semi-final Penney & Ward were against the second seeds Nicolas Charrier & Martin Legner. The French/Austrian pair found the Brits too strong in the first set. The fourth seeds dominated the set to take the lead. Charrier & Legner re-grouped in the second set, and the fourth seeds found themselves down a break of serve for the first time. Unable to break back the match was level. In the ensuing match tiebreak, the Brits edged through to take the spot in the final 6-1, 4-6, 11-9.
The final saw the Brits against the top seeds Takuya Miki & Casey Ratzlaff. Penney & Ward dominated the first set, taking it without losing a game. The top seeds re-grouped and fought back in the second set. Miki & Ratzlaff dominated the second to level up the match. The match tiebreak was close, however, it was the Brits who secured the break and lifted the title 6-0, 1-6, 10-7.

Andrew Penney was defeated by Dahnon Ward in the first round 6-1, 6-2.
Cornelia Oosthuizen was defeated by Saki Takamuro in the quarter-final 7-5, 7-6(3).
Dahnon Ward was defeated by Takuya Miki in the semi-final 6-1, 6-2.
Cornelia Oosthuizen with Saki Takamuro were defeated by Katharina Kruger & Emmanuelle Morch in the final 6-0, 6-4.
James Shaw was defeated by Marcus Laudan in the quarter-final of the Quads 6-3, 7-5.
Gregory Slade was defeated by Ymanitu Silva in the semi-final of the Quads 6-2, 6-2.
James Shaw & Gregory Slade were defeated by Tomas Masaryk & Ymanitu Silva in the final of the Quads 6-2, 6-4.
