In the final the top seed was against Greg Slade. The 32 year old dominated the match from the outset, giving him a great chance to claim his third title of the season. Slade fought hard in the first set, but Lapthorne was not having it. The 32 year old eased through the first set. Lapthorne stepped things up more in the second set and didn’t drop a game to lift the title 6-2, 6-0.

The final saw the Brits against second seeds Joachim Gerard & Stephane Houdet. The Belgian/French pair were too good for the Brits in the first set. Gerard & Houdet dropped only one game in the first set. The second set was much closer as Hewett & Reid re-grouped. The Brits stayed with the second seeds and neither pair gave an inch. It looked like a tiebreak was on the cards, but Hewett & Reid broke at the end of the set to level the match.
