HOUSTON, TEXAS, USA – Ben Bartram was the top seed in both the singles and doubles and justified his ranking by claiming both titles. Lucy Shuker was top seed in the singles and took the title.

Ben Bartram entered the Wheelchair tennis event and was the top seed in both the singles and the doubles. In the first round Bartram was against American Atif Moon. The Brit dominated from the outset and barely broke a sweat as he eased through in straight sets 6-1, 6-1.

The quarter-final saw the Brit against Thomas Venos. The Canadian stayed with the top seed at the start, however Bartram managed to secure the break of serve and take the lead. The second set was all the top seed. The Brit dominated the Canadian as Venos just could not stay with the pace. The Brit moved into the next round in straight sets 6-3, 6-0.

In the semi-final Bartram was against fourth seed Shogo Takano. The Japanese was no match for the Brit who dominated from the off. The top seed eased through the match without much trouble. Takano was unable to do anything about Bartram who moved into the next round in straight sets 6-1, 6-1.

The final saw Bartram against Guilhem Laget. The Frenchman proved to be the toughest opponent to date, staying with the Brit in the first set. It looked to be heading to a tiebreak, but the top seed secured the break right at the end to take the lead. The second set was easier for Bartram, as he dominated and repeated the result of the meeting of these two at the 2020 Paris Paralympics in the first round. This time though, Bartram had a trophy at the end of it having taken the match 7-5, 6-2.
