Playing Styles & Prediction

Slowly but surely Raducanu is beginning to find her feet again on the tour, and more importantly has clambered back into the top 100. She will be looking for a first win since her shock run to the title in 2021, as she went out in the first round the following year and then had to miss last year’s event after closing down her season early.

Her last four tournaments on the grass and in Washington have seen her pick up back-to-back wins which is vital for her confidence.

Kenin was floundering a little with five main draw losses but managed to clinch a win in Cleveland but failed to make it back-to-back with a loss in the nest round. Her form has been patchy, to say the least but will have the crowd with her in her home slam.

Both have a lot of weight behind their ground-strokes, and we can expect fist pumps a-plenty from both of them as they bring their feistiness to the court. Raducanu can win this as she has good court smarts, but there is still a doubt about sharpness while Kenin has just lacked a lot of consistency this year.

Prediction: Raducanu in three sets.
