Where are the US Open defending champions?
Carlos Alcaraz will return as a defending Grand Slam champion for the first time, but also as a two-time Slam winner after his extraordinary efforts to beat Novak Djokovic for the Wimbledon title. However potentially more history awaits Djokovic as he could be the one to equal Margaret Court’s record of 24 Slam titles.
Iga Swiatek will look to defend her title, but also the World No. 1 ranking is in play once more between her and World No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka.
