It was a positive US Open campaign for the Brits overall with Jack Draper reaching the second week of a Grand Slam while Yuriko Lily Miyazaki qualified for the US Open for the first time in her career. There were also positive performances from Dan Evans and Katie Boulter as there was lots to build on heading into the rest of the season. Having said that there were also disappointing performances in New York, so now let’s reflect on the US hard court swing as a whole to see who impressed and who needs to improve heading into next year’s Grand Slam events.

Cameron Norrie’s US hard court swing reflected his season as it was another set of disappointing results for the British number one. It looked like things had turned a corner at the US Open but a convincing defeat to Matteo Arnaldi in the third round means Norrie has a lot of improving to do ahead of next season.

Now Evans will aim for more consistency on the regular tour as he aims to keep progressing up the rankings.
