Since beating Novak Djokovic and Denis Shapovalov in Dubai, Vesely has been disappointing throughout the season and lacked consistency in his results. The Czech Republican will now look to end his season on a high by producing a deep run in New York.
Evans will look to continue to be aggressive and work the angles, using his slice as well as testing the baseline game of Vesely. While Vesely will look to come into the net as much as possible and use his lefty serve to good effect. On his day Vesely can be a real problem on the tour and will look to implement his style in an attack-minded manner. However the Brit’s form and self-belief should edge him through this match as his good form in New York is expected to continue.
