There will be no Rafael Nadal at this year’s Roland Garros, as it appears the sun is setting on his illustrious career. He will miss this year’s tournament and shared that 2024 is likely to be his final year on the tour, as he targets the Paris Olympics.

The way is now clear for Novak Djokovic to chase another Slam title and to surpass Rafael Nadal in terms of Slam titles, with both on 22.

Iga Swiatek continues to dominate the rankings but a recent injury picked up in Rome might give the two time champion a little pause for thought. The winners of the last four Grand Slams in the draw, you could argue that the women’s draw is also open, but clay is where Swiatek thrives and it will take quite a performance to prevent the Pole from winning a fourth major title.
