PARIS FRANCE – In arguably the hardest draw for the Brit women, Harriet Dart will start against former quarter-finalist Martina Trevisan.

It might be Harriet Dart’s first time in the main draw, but she will not have an easy ride as she drew Martina Trevisan, who was the 2020 quarter-finalist. Dart hit a milestone earlier this year, finally cracking the Top 100, but has a little work to do to get back there. Her slid run through Indian Wells qualies to get to the fourth round, and despatching Elina Svitolina along the way was a highlight of her year.
Trevisan’s best results have come on the clay, where at the time of writing, she has advanced to the Rabat final – so she comes into Paris certainly well-practiced on the clay.

Both players have an aggressive style, but Trevisan’s speed and agility often gets her over the line in her matches. She can play with a more risk on the bigger points, and Dart simply lacks the results and the time on court to bring about an upset here.
