This week’s rankings update can only start in one place and that’s with Novak Djokovic as he claimed a sixth ATP Finals title in Turin defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas, Andrey Rublev, Daniil Medvedev, Taylor Fritz and Casper Ruud along the way. Djokovic continued his impressive form from previous tournaments and sealed his first title at the ATP Finals for seven years. As a result Djokovic will end the season as world number five as he heads into next year’s Australian Open with momentum on his side.

In other ranking updates from the event, Ruud became the first Scandinavian in 32 years to reach the final at the Nitto ATP Finals. As a result the Norwegian climbed to number three in the world and now finds himself only 1,000 points behind world number one Carlos Alcaraz. The Norwegian will look to become the new world number one in January as he has no points to defend at the Australian Open.

Other ranking updates include Hubert Hurkacz moving back into the top ten without playing while Jack Draper and Andy Murray both moved up a place in the world rankings at 42 and 49 respectively.
