The main headline on the ATP side since the Australian Open has been the resurgence of Daniil Medvedev. After the former US Open champion fell outside the top ten after a disappointing campaign in Melbourne, Medvedev has now climbed back inside the top ten with titles in Rotterdam and Doha. Now the former world number one will look to take his form into Indian Wells and Miami next month having beaten the likes of Felix Auger-Aliassime, Jannik Sinner and Andy Murray.

Also in major climbs up the rankings Taylor Fritz makes his top five debut having won in Delray Beach a couple of weeks ago with Rafael Nadal falling down to eight in the world. There is a 21 place climb for Bernabe Zapata Miralles to 42 in the world after his semi-final run in Rio De Janeiro while Benjamin Bonzi’s run to the Marseille final sees him climb up 15 places to 45 in the world.

In ranking drops there are heavy falls down the rankings for American duo Mackenzie McDonald and Marcos Giron. McDonald fell down 13 places to 62 in the world while Giron fell down 14 places to 69 in the world. After a positive Australian Open, there was also a fall down the rankings for Alexei Popyrin who falls down 14 places to 98 in the world.

Finally there have been noticeable results this week with Cameron Norrie winning his first ATP 500 event with a three set win over Carlos Alcaraz in Rio De Janeiro. That significant win sees him climb up one place to world number 12 as he looks to continue his great start to the season. Meanwhile Murray is up the rankings by 18 places to 52 in the world after his run to the Doha final while Jack Draper has fallen down nine places to 53 in the world as he is yet to compete since the Australian Open.
