PARIS, FRANCE – After a second round exit at Wimbledon, Jack Draper is hoping to get back on track when he takes on Kei Nishikori in his Olympics debut.

Jack Draper will be looking to regain his form as he overcomes an early exit at Wimbledon to make his Olympics debut and faces Kei Nishikori in his opening round match.

Draper will continue his clinical efficiency on return when he takes on the consistent first serve of Nishikori.

 

 

Playing Styles and Prediction

Three years ago, Nishikori was in form heading into his home Olympics and backed that form up with a run to the quarter-finals. However it’s a very different story in Paris as Nishikori has very limited expectations with this being his fourth tournament of the season and will hope to remain fit and healthy after Paris.

Draper will be aggressive on serve and will use the forehand to test Nishikori’s all-court game. While Nishikori will look for depth on the backhand to expose Draper’s movement on clay as he will seek to force errors from Draper. This will be a tough match but Draper should enough fitness and consistency to win on his Olympic debut.

Prediction: Draper in three sets.
