Playing styles and prediction

Jabeur had her career best season next year as she was the main challenger to Iga Swiatek’s reign at the top of the WTA rankings. However the Tunisian just came up short in achieving her dream of winning a maiden Grand Slam title. This is something Jabeur will be more motivated then before to achieve in 2023 and will look to raise her overall level of play to match Swiatek’s consistency.

Raducanu will look to serve well and work on her consistent power from the baseline while Jabeur will give the Brit trouble with a range of slices and power. This match will give an idea of where her fitness and consistency is at heading into the new season and it will give Raducanu an idea of how far off she is of reaching the top of the women’s game.

Prediction: Jabeur in three sets.
