Playing styles and prediction
Bonzi ended the year having won a big ATP title in his home country in Metz but had had a poor start to the season. Despite reaching the third round at the Australian Open, Bonzi has failed to capitalise on his momentum. Now the Frenchman aims to rediscover his aggressive serving in a bid to improve his confidence and gain some results.
Fearnley will look to produce big serves and approach the net to finish points off efficiently and force Bonzi into returning errors. Meanwhile Bonzi will use the forehand to hit clean winners early in the rally. This will be a tricky contest for Fearnley but one the Brit should win given the form of the two players.
Prediction: Fearnley in three sets.
