MIAMI, USA – Jack Draper will begin his bid for the sunshine double against Jakub Mensik in his Miami opener.

Draper will aim to continue his efficiency on return in what is a tricky opening round match against an effective and talented player like Mensik.

 

 

Playing Styles and Prediction

Mensik has had a consistent start to the season, having secured some incredible wins already this season. The Czech Republican’s talent isn’t in question but now he aims to put a string of results together as he targets a place in the world’s top 50 ahead of the clay court season.

Draper will look to be aggressive on return as he will aim to rush Mensik’s raw style of play right from the beginning of the match. The Czech Republican will need to be consistent on serve as he will use his athleticism and backhand to force Draper into high risk shots. This should be one of the best matches of the tournament with Draper’s recent confidence meaning he will edge through a tight contest.

Prediction: Draper in three sets.
