Playing styles and prediction

Landaluce is one of the brightest talents in Spain and showed that at the start of the season when he qualified for the Australian Open. However, the 19 year-old is a raw talent and is yet to find consistency as he still needs to tactically and physically develop with there being no doubt he will do that over the coming years.

Norrie will hope to be aggressive and take time away from Landaluce with the Brit using his experience to survive the early wave of pressure. Meanwhile Landaluce will aim to be an attacking threat on the backhand side, exposing Norrie’s low confidence. The Spaniard should get off to a quick start on home soil but the Brit’s maturity and experience will see him into the second round.

Prediction: Norrie in three sets.
