After losing before the quarter-finals in Monte-Carlo, Jack Draper is targeting clay court improvement in Madrid and first up is the in-form Tallon Griekspoor.

Playing Styles and Prediction

Griekspoor has been in some incredible form with the Dutchman beating Alexander Zverev in America as well as reaching an ATP final in Marrakech to begin the clay court season. Now Griekspoor will aim to continue the momentum as targets a seeding spot at Roland Garros next month.

Draper aims to be aggressive on serve and use the backhand to force Griekspoor behind the baseline. Griekspoor will aim to step inside the baseline and take his forehand early, finishing off points at the net. This match could go either way but if Draper can find his range consistently in this match then the British number one should edge his way into the third round.

Prediction: Draper in three sets.
