The ITF event in Shrewsbury had a very good field including many Brits. Eliz Maloney made it threw qualifying and into the main draw. In the first round she drew Eden Silva. Maloney dominated the first set as Silva struggled to hold serve. The second set saw Maloney broke early and Silva was unable to get back on terms. The qualifier moved into the next round 6-2, 6-3.

The second round saw Maloney against the seventh seed Misaki Doi. The seed and Maloney battled hard, but eventually Doi broke the Brit and took the lead. The Brit re-grouped in the second set and dominated the Chinese to level up the match. The final set was a close affair and went to a tiebreak. The breaker saw Maloney dominate and take the win 4-6, 6-0, 7-6(3).

In the quarter-final Maloney was against the top seed Anhelina Kalinina. The Brit stayed with the Ukrainian well in the first set, and looked to be forcing a tiebreak. Unfortunately the top seed broke right at the end of the set to take the lead. The second set saw the Brit fighting hard, but eventually, Kalinina broke serve and booked a spot in the next round 7-5, 6-4.

Katie Boulter was against Nefisa Berberovic in the first round. The Brit and Berberovic fought hard in the first set, before Boulter secured the break of serve. The second set was more of the same, as both players battled for the break. Eventually, it was Boulter that secured the win and moved into the next round 6-4, 6-4.

The second round saw Boulter against qualifier Yanina Wickmayer. The Belgian stayed with the Brit in the first set and looked to be forcing a tiebreak, before Boulter managed to break right at the end of the set to take the lead. The second set was a repeat of the first, with Boulter once again breaking at the end of the set and took the win 7-5, 7-5.

In the quarter-final the Brit was against Ana Konjuh. The Croatian managed to break serve in the first set and took the lead. The second set was much closer, and Boulter forced a tiebreak. In the breaker it was Konjuh who edged through to take the win 6-4, 7-6(5).

Yuriko Lily Miyazaki drew Gabriela Andrea Knutson in the first round. The Brit wildcard and the qualifier went toe to toe before the Brit broke serve. The second set saw both players again stay close, and looked like a tiebreak would ensue. Fortunately, Miyazaki broke serve and moved in to the next round 6-4, 7-5.

In the second round the Brit was against the second seed Tatjana Maria. The German and Miyazaki went toe to toe and again it looked like a tiebreak would ensue. However, the Brit managed to break the serve of the seed and take the lead. The second set was just as close, and looked to be heading to a similar fashion. However, Maria had to retire from the match so Miyazaki moved into the next round 7-5, 4-3 (RET).

The quarter-final saw the Brit against Eva Lys. The match was very topsy-turvey as the German dominated the first set, with Miyazaki unable to hold serve at all. The second set saw the Brit dominate and Lys struggle to hold serve. The final set was a repeat of the first unfortunately, as Miyazaki was unable to get a game on the board, the German moved on 6-0, 1-6, 6-0.
