Jack Pinnington-Jones entered the ITF event and was unseeded. In the first round the Brit drew qualifier Finn Bass. The higher ranked player dominated the first set, without losing a game. The second set was much closer and Bass managed to stay toe to toe with Pinnington-Jones and forced a tiebreak. In the breaker Pinnington-Jones edged through and claimed the win in straight sets 6-0, 7-6(4).

In the second round, the Brit was against top seed Charles Broom. The unseeded Brit surprised his compatriot and got the break of serve and took the first set. Broom, as top seed, was able to regroup in the second set. The top seed dominated the second set to level up the match. In the final set, both Brits stayed close, before, eventually, Pinnington-Jones secured the break of serve and moved into the next round 6-3, 0-6, 6-4.

The quarter-final saw Pinnington-Jones against another qualifier, this time Michael Shaw. Both players stayed together in the first set, before Pinnington-Jones secured a break of serve and moved ahead. The second set was more of the same. Just like the first set Pinnington-Jones was able to get the vital break of serve and moved into the next round 6-4, 6-4.

In the semi-final Pinnington-Jones was against third seed Dan Cox. The first set was very close, and neither player could get the decisive break. A tie break ensued, which Cox dominated and took the lead. The second set was just like the first, but in the tie break this time Pinnington-Jones edged through to level up on the match. The final set saw Pinnington-Jones dominate the seed and move into the final 6-7(3), 7-6(5), 6-2.

The final saw Pinnington-Jones against Daniil Glinka. The Estonian managed to stay with the Brit at the start of the set, but Pinnington-Jones secured the vital break of serve to move ahead. The second was much closer, as Glinka stayed with the Brit and forced a tiebreak. However, Pinnington-Jones dominated and claimed the title 6-4, 7-6(3).

Men’s Doubles

Emilie Hudd & Johannus Monday were the second seeds. In the first round, they were against George Houghton & Ewan Moore. The seeds dominated the match from the outset. Houghton & Moore were unable to get into the match at all, and the seeds progressed in straight sets 6-2, 6-2.

The quarter-final saw the seeds against Ryan Golesworthy & James MacKinley. This match was much tougher than the first round, as the seeds were forced to tiebreaks. In the breakers Hudd & Monday proved too good for the unseeded pair and the seeds moved on 7-6(3), 7-6(4).

In the semi-final the Brits were against Corey Gaal & Alexander Klintcharov. The Brits got the vital break of serve in the first set to move ahead. The second set saw Gaal & Klintcharov force a tiebreak, which they edged through and levelled up the match. The ensuing match tiebreak saw the Brits ease through and book a spot in the final 6-4, 6-7(5), 10-3.

The final saw the second seeds against the third seeds Millen Hurrion & Dan Little. Hudd & Monday needed to fight hard against the third seeds as both sets went to tiebreaks. The second seeds edged through both and lifted the trophy 7-6(8), 7-6(4).
