INDIAN WELLS, USA – Cameron Norrie is aiming to build on his previous success at Indian Wells as he takes on Tung-Lin Wu in his opening match.

Cameron Norrie is looking to take advantage of his recent run of form and rediscover the confidence that he had when he won the title in 2021 when he takes on Tung-Lin Wu in his opening match.

Norrie will look to continue his impressive consistency on serve against the effective returning of Wu.

 

 

Playing styles and prediction

Wu has mainly been challenger tennis and has made good progress in Asia, where he has consistently made semi-finals and finals. Now Wu looks to gain more experience on the main tour as he looks to gain access to the world’s top 150 by entering bigger events just like Indian Wells this week.

Norrie will look to continue his high consistency on serve and use his serve to be aggressive from the baseline. Meanwhile Wu will look to frustrate the Brit with his gritty defensive style and use deep groundstrokes to make Norrie uncomfortable. This should be a comfortable win for 11th seed but with this being his first match of the week it won’t be surprising if he has a slow start to the match.

Prediction: Norrie in straight sets.
