ILKLEY, YORKSHIRE, UK – Sonay Kartal was a wildcard entry into the event and was unseeded. The Brit made the semi-final before being defeated. Holly Hutchinson & Madeleine Brooks made the same stage in the doubles.

Sonay Kartal accepted a wildcard into the ITF event and was unseeded. In the first round the Brit drew fourth seed Simona Waltert. The Swiss player found the Brit way too strong, as Kartal dominated from the outset. The Brit barely put a foot wrong and lost only one game to move into the next round 6-1, 6-0.
In the second round Kartal was against Elsa Jacquemont. The Frenchwoman stayed with the Brit in the first set. Going toe to toe with her. Eventually, Kartal broke serve and took the lead. The second set saw Kartal dominate as Jacquemont struggled to hold serve. The moved into the next round 7-5, 6-1.
The quarter-final saw Kartal against the fifth seed Aliona Bolsova. The Spaniard stayed with the Brit but eventually, Kartal broke serve and took the lead. The second set was more of the same, as Kartal broke Bolsova again to move into the next round 6-3, 6-3.
In the semi-final Kartal was against the top seed Emma Navarro. The American was too strong for the Brit, who dominated as Kartal struggled to hold serve. The top seed eventually prevailed in straight sets and moved into the final 6-2, 6-1.

Doubles
Madeleine Brooks & Holly Hutchinson were unseeded and in the first round they were against Eden Silva & Olivia Gadecki. The Brooks & Hutchinson went toe to toe with Silva & Gadecki and managed to break serve right at the end of the set. The second set was dominated by the all British team who moved into the next round 7-5, 6-0.
In the quarter-final the Brits were against Valentini Grammatikopoulou & Simona Waltert. The Greek/Swiss pair dominated the first set and took the lead. The second set saw the Brits re-group and dominate the Greek/Swiss and level up the match. In the ensuing match tiebreak, the Brits edged through to move into the next round 1-6, 6-1, 10-6.
The semi-final saw Brooks & Hutchinson against Nao Hibino & Natalija Stevanovic. The Japanese/Serbian pair fought hard and broke the Brits to take the lead. The second set saw Hibino & Stevanovic dominate, as the Brits struggled to hold serve. The Japanese/Serbian took the match in straight sets 6-4, 6-2.

Yuriko Lily Miyazaki was defeated by Aliona Bolsova in the first round 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-1.
Anna Brogan was defeated by Katrina Scott in the first round 7-5, 3-6, 6-1.
Toby Samuel was defeated by Alex Bolt in the first round 2-6, 7-6, 7-5.
Johannus Monday was defeated by Raul Brancaccio in the first round 6-3, 6-3.
Harry Wendelken was defeated by Sho Shimabukuro in the first round 6-2, 6-7, 6-2.
Isabelle Lacey was defeated by Aliona Bolsova in the second round 4-6, 7-5, 7-6(3).
Charles Broom was defeated by Zsombor Piros in the quarter-final 6-7, 6-3, 7-6.
Toby Samuel & Connor Thomson were defeated by Constantin Frantzen & Hendrik Jebens in the first round 6-3, 7-6.
Jacob Fearnley & Johannus Monday were defeated by Jesper De Jong & Gijs Brouwer in the first round 3-6, 7-5, 10-4.
Isabelle Lacy & Mingge Xu were defeated by Maja Chwalinska & Jesika Maleckova in the first round 6-2, 6-3.
Lauryn John-Baptiste & Yuriko Lily Miyazaki were defeated by Mirjam Bjorklund & Aliona Bolsova in the first round 6-3, 6-0.
Emily Webley-Smith with Tamara Korpatsch were defeated by Nao Hibino & Natalija Stevanovic in the first round 6-0, 6-4.
