PARIS, FRANCE – Neal Skupski partnered up with Desirae Krawczyk again and were the fourth seeds in the mixed doubles. The Brit/American pair were runners up.

Neal Skupski and Desirae Krawczyk once again partnered up for the mixed doubles. Having won the title at Wimbledon in 2021 & 2022 the pair are very accustomed to playing together. The Brit/American pair were against Gonzalo Escobar & Shuko Aoyama. The fourth seeds fought hard in the first set and secured the break of serve right at the end to take the lead. The second set was much easier, as Skupski & Krawczyk dominated and moved into the next round 7-5, 6-1.

The second round saw the Brit/American against the all British pair of Joe Salisbury & Heather Watson. The seeds dominated the first set to take the lead. However, in the second set Salisbury & Watson fought back and broke before a tiebreak to level up the match. In the ensuing match tiebreak it was the fourth seeds who edged through and booked a spot in the next round 6-1, 5-7, 10-7.

In the quarter-final the Brit/American were against Marcelo Arevalo & Shuai Zhang. The first set was very close as both pairs stayed toe-to-toe. Neither side were able to get the vital break of serve and a tiebreak ensued. In the breaker it was the seeds that managed to edge ahead and take the lead. The second set saw the fourth seeds secure a break of serve and move into the next round 7-6(8), 6-4.

The semi-final saw Skupski & Krawczyk against seventh seeds Jan Zielinski & Hsieh Su-Wei. The fourth seeds dominated the first set lost only one game to take the lead. The second set saw the seventh seeds re-group and force a tiebreak. In the breaker the seventh seeds dominated and levelled up the match. In the ensuing match tiebreak it was the fourth seeds that eased through to the final 6-1, 6-7(2), 10-4.

In the final the Brit/American pair were against the second seeds Edouard Roger-Vasselin & Laura Siegemund. The second seeds managed to get a break of serve in the first round to take the lead. The second set was much closer, and looked to be heading to a tiebreak. Eventually, the second seeds broke serve to lift the title 6-4, 7-5.

Doubles Round Up

Andy Murray & Dan Evans were defeated by Thiago Seboth Wild & Sebastian Baez in the first round at the French Open 7-6(8), 7-6(3).

Julian Cash with Robert Galloway were defeated by Austin Krajicek & Ivan Dodig in the first round at the French Open 6-4, 5-7, 6-3.

Lloyd Glasspool with Jean-Julien Rojer were defeated by Maximo Gonzalez & Andres Molteni in the first round at the French Open 7-6(3), 6-3.

Heather Watson & Katie Boulter were defeated by Chan Hao-Ching & Veronika Kudermetova in the first round at the French Open 6-1, 3-6, 7-5.

Olivia Nicholls with Ingrid Martins were defeated by Nicole Melichar-Martinez & Ellen Perez in the first round at the French Open 5-7, 6-2, 6-1.

Luke Johnson with Skander Mansouri were defeated by Henry Patten & Harri Heliovaara in the second round at the French Open 6-3, 7-5.

Neal Skupski with Andreas Mies were defeated by Tomas Machac & Zhang Zhizen in the second round at the French Open 4-6, 6-4, 6-3.

Jamie Murray with Michael Venus were defeated by Gregoire Barrere & Lucas Pouille in the second round at the French Open 6-4, 7-6(8).

Maia Lumsden with Wang Yafan were defeated by Miyu Kato & Nadia Kichenok in the second round at the French Open 6-3, 7-5.

Henry Patten & Harri Heliovaara were defeated by Joran Vliegen & Sander Gille in the third round at the French Open 0-0 (RET).

Joe Salisbury with Rajeev Ram were defeated by Simone Bolelli & Andrea Vavassori in the quarter-final at the French Open 1-6, 6-3, 6-4.

Scott Duncan with Hunter Reese were defeated by Alexandru Jecan & Henrique Rocha in the semi-final in Zagreb 3-6, 6-2, 10-3.

Toby Martin & Felix Mischker were defeated by Finn Reynolds & Adam Taylor in the quarter-final in Sarajevo 6-0, 6-3.

James Davis & Mark Whitehouse were defeated by Jakub Paul & Matej Vocel in the semi-final in Sarajevo 6-2, 7-6(3).

Patrick Foley with Nikita Ianin were defeated by Cengiz Aksu & Alp Horoz in the first round in Monastir 7-5, 6-3.

Kristina Paskauskas with Gina Marie Dittmann were defeated by Leena Bennetto & Janice Tjen in the first round in Monastir 1-6, 6-3, 10-5.
