POTCHEFSTROOM, SOUTH AFRICA – Samantha Murray Sharan & Fanni Stollar were the top seeds and claimed the title without dropping a set.

Samantha Murray Sharan teamed up with Fanni Stollar and were the top seeds in the doubles event. The first round saw the seeds against Gabriella Taylor & Amandine Hesse. The seeds had little trouble dispatching the Brit/French pairing. The Brit/Hungarian broke early in both sets and held on to move into the next round 6-3, 6-4.

The quarter-final saw Murray Sharan & Stollar against Svenja Ochsner & Joanne Zuger. The top seeds were all over the Swiss pair and broke easily, Ochsner & Zuger could not break back. Murray Sharan & Stollar continued to dominate the match and moved into the semi-final 6-3, 6-3.

In the semi-final the top seeds were against Marina Melnikova & Simona Waltert. The first set was very close as the pairings battled hard. Neither pair gave an inch and a tiebreak ensued. The top seeds moved ahead in the tiebreak and closed out the set. In the second set Murray Sharan & Stollar broke serve and took the match 7-6(4), 6-4.

The final saw the top seeds against the third seeds Berfu Cengiz & Paige Hourigan. Murray Sharan & Stollar dominated the match. The third seeds were outplayed and outclassed. The Brit/Hungarian had little trouble in dispatching Cengiz & Hourigan and lifted the title 6-1, 6-1.

Luke Bambridge & Lloyd Glasspool were defeated by Denis Kudla & Thai-Son Kwiatkowski in the quarter-final in Indian Wells Challenger 6-1, 3-6, 10-8.

Harriet Dart with Usue Maitane Arconada were defeated by Yang Zhaoxuan & Makoto Ninomiya in the first round in Indian Wells 125K  6-3, 7-6(4).

Emily Webley-Smith with Mona Barthel were defeated by Anna Blinkova & Christina McHale in the first round of Indian Wells 125K 6-1, 6-3.

Johanna Konta with Elina Svitolina were defeated by Marie Bouzková & Renata Voráčová in the quarter-final in Monterrey 0-0 RET.

David Fox with Alex Blumenberg were defeated by Mousheg Hovhannisyan & Alexander Sarkissan in the first round in Las Vegas 7-5, 6-4.

Tara Moore with Emina Bektas were defeated by Lorraine Guillermo & Maegan Manasse in the semi-final in Las Vegas 6-4, 5-7, 11-9.

Marcus Willis with Tuna Altuna were defeated by Bogdan Apostol & Patrick Grigoriu in the quarter-final 7-6(5), 7-5.

Brydan Klein with Scott Puodziunas were defeated by Jeremy Beale & Thomas Fancutt in the final in Mildula 4-6, 7-6(6), 10-3.

Billy Harris with Peter Bothwell were defeated by Maverick Bains & Blake Ellis in the first round in Portugal 6-2, 6-3.

Jonathan Binding with Tiago Cação were defeated by Louis Dussin & Ronan Joncour in the first round in Portugal 6-4, 6-4.

Sean Hodkin with Stephanos Schinas were defeated by Antoine Cornut-Chauvinc & Constantin Schmitz in the first round 6-2, 6-1.

Next week Brits play in Indian Wells, Mexico, Cairo, Brazil, South Africa, Tunisia, France, Australia, Greece, Portugal, Doha & Croatia.
