PALERMO, ITALY – Olivia Nicholls teamed up with Tereza Mihalikova for the WTA 250 event and were the second seeds. The pair made the semi-final before being defeated.

Olivia Nicholls teamed up with Tereza Mihalikova and were the second seeds. In the first round the Brit/Slovakian pair were against Samantha Murray Sharan & Oksana Kalashnikova. The Brit/Georgian got off to the better start and dominated the first set to take the lead. The second set saw the seeds re-group. Nicholls & Mihalikova broke serve to level up the match. In the ensuing match tiebreak the second seeds edged through to move into the next round 2-6, 6-3, 10-7.
In the quarter-final the seeds were against Quinn Gleason & Conny Perrin. The American/Swiss pair stayed with the seeds at the beginning and looked to be forcing a tiebreak. However, the Brit/Slovak broke serve right at the end of the set and took the lead. The second set was easier for the seeds. Nicholls & Mihalikova broke early and kept holding serve to move into the next round 7-5, 6-3.
The semi-final saw the second seeds against Aurora Zantedeschi & Yvonne Cavalle-Reimers. The Italian/Spanish pair got the jump on the seeds, breaking serve to take the lead. The seeds re-grouped in the second set and dominated to level up the match. In the ensuing match tiebreak, the Italian/Spaniard edged through and into the final 6-4, 0-6, 10-6.
