  • Samantha Murray-Sharan & Eden Silva made semi-final in Mexico
  • Brits were unseeded
  • Only fourth seeds were able to defeat them
GUADALAJARA, MEXICO – Samantha Murray-Sharan & Eden Silva made the semi-final. The Brits were unseeded and were only stopped by the fourth seeds.

Samantha Murray-Sharan & Eden Silva entered the WTA event and were unseeded. The Brits drew Maria Kozyreva & Renata Zarazua. Murray-Sharan & Silva broke quickly in the first set to take the lead. The second set was more of the same as Kozyreva & Zarazua were unable to stop the Brits breaking again and taking the match in straight sets 6-3, 6-3.

In the quarter-final Murray-Sharan & Silva were against Jessie Aney & Lena Papadakis. The Brits broke early in the first set to take the lead. Aney & Papadakis stayed close in the second set, before the Brits secured the break of serve to take the match in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.

The semi-final saw the Brits against fourth seeds Oksana Kalashinkova & Kamilla Rakhimova. Murray-Sharan & Silva stayed with the seeds at first, before Kalashinkova & Rakhimova broke to take the set. The second set saw the seeds break early and the Brits could not break back. The fourth seeds took the match in straight sets 6-4, 6-3.

 

 

Doubles Round Up

Alicia Barnett with Isabelle Haverlag were defeated by Ines Ibbou & Naima Karamoko in the first round in Monastir 6-4, 6-3.

Maia Lumsden & Yuriko Lily Miyazaki were defeated by Aliona Falei & Elena Pridankina in the first round in Monastir 6-0, 6-3.

Freya Christie with Yuliana Lizarazo were defeated by Emily Appleton & Martyna Kubka in the first round in Monastir 6-7(5), 6-3, 10-7.

Charles Dossetter with Ignasi Forcano were defeated by Erik Arutiunian & Alexander Zgirovsky in the first round in Monastir 6-4, 7-6(5).

Emily Appleton with Martyna Kubka were defeated by Anita Wagner & Ekaterina Yashina in the quarter-final in Monastir 6-2, 6-2.

Peter Alam with Joao Portugal were defeated by Diogo Marques & Tiago Pereira in the quarter-final in Monastir 6-3, 6-4.

Ewen Lumsden with Etienne Donnet were defeated by Erik Arutiunian & Alexander Zgirovsky in the final in Monastir 7-5, 7-6(2).

Ben Jones & Marcus Willis were defeated by Evan Furness & Arthur Reymond in the quarter-final in Rennes 7-5, 7-6(12).

Joshua Paris with Antoine Escoffier were defeated by Sander Arends & Gregoire Jacq in the final in Rennes 6-4, 6-2.

Jay Clarke & Felix Mischker were defeated by Ali Habib & Yuvan Nandal in the quarter-final in Bali 7-5, 6-4.

Ali Habib with Yuvan Nandal were defeated by Mathieu Scagila & Jakub Wojcik in the semi-final in Bali 6-2, 2-6, 10-3.

Liam Hignett & Michael Shaw were defeated by Sergis Kyratzis & Eleftherios Neos in the first round in Plaisir 7-5, 2-6, 10-8.

Oliver Okonkwo with Lucas Horve were defeated by Tom Hands & Harry Wendelken in the semi-final in Plaisir 6-3, 6-2.

Tom Hands & Harry Wendelken defeated Mats Rosenkrantz & Marat Sharipov in the final in Plaisir 6-3, 6-4.

Emily Webley-Smith with Alice Robbe were defeated by Lina Glushko & Anastasia Tikhonova in the quarter-final in Le Neubourg 6-1, 6-3.

Madeleine Brooks & Lauryn John-Baptiste were defeated by Julia Avdeeva & Ekaterina Maklakova in the semi-final in Le Neubourg 7-6(6), 6-4.

James Markiewicz & Toby Martin were defeated by Stefano Reitano & Louis Wesseles in the semi-final in Pozzuoli 3-6, 6-1, 10-8.

Joe Tyler with Tristan McCormick were defeated by Boris Butulija & Aryan Lakshmann in the first round in Madrid 1-6, 6-1, 18-16.

Lonja Engemise with Wilva Chan were defeated by Mireia Fehr & Natalia Fehr in the first round in Reus 6-3, 2-6, 10-4.

Naiktha Bains with Ankita Raina were defeated by Sayaka Ishii & Aoi Ito in the first round in Perth 7-5, 6-4.

Amelia Rajecki with Sara Daavettila were defeated by Anastasiia Gureva & Radka Zelnickova in the quarter-final in Santarem 0-0 (RET).

Holly Hutchinson & Ella McDonald were defeated by Sarah Beth Grey & Katarina Kuzmova in the semi-final in Santarem 0-0 (RET).

Sarah Beth Grey with Katarina Kuzmova were defeated by Anastasiia Gureva & Radka Zelnickova in the final in Santarem 7-5, 6-1.
